On Tuesday 16th January, the College of Education and External studies presented graduands at Makerere University Freedom Square at the 68th Makerere University Graduation Ceremony.

DVC (AA) Makerere University and CEES Management Team Visits Makerere Lira Study Centre

On 11th January 2018 a team from Makerere University travelled to Lira Study Centre in Lira District and held a meeting with the District political head the Chairperson LC 5 and the District Chief Administrative Officer to discuss issues related to Lifelong Learning Lira (Lira Study Centre).

Makerere University DVCAA Dr. Ernest Okello Ogwang and team from CEES visits Lira Study Centre

The Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs (DVCAA) Dr. Ernest Okello Ogwang on 11th January 2018 visited Lira District where he met with the LC 5 Chairman Mr. Jude Okello and other officials.

The DVCAA who was accompanied by the Deputy Principal, College of Education and External Studies (CEES)-Dr. Paul Muyinda Birevu, Dean School of Distance and Lifelong Learning (SoDLL)-Dr. Alex Okot and other CEES staff was on a mission to sentise the Lira community about the benefits of Makerere’s Open, Distance and E-Learning (ODeL) programmes

Admission to the online Bachelor of Youth and Development Work Programme (BYD) Academic Year 2018/2019

This will be an online blended/blended/distance learning programme commencing in February 2018.  This Programme builds capacity for those wishing to specialise in youth programme or working with the Youth

Makerere University to start training teachers of Chinese Language

The Department  of Humanities and Language Education, School of Education, successfully negotiated with Hanban Headquarters, China and the Confucius Institute, Makerere University to start training teachers of Chinese Language 

Associate Professor, Mulumba Mathias Bwanika, the department chair was offered an opportunity to benchmark Chinese language teacher preparation in several universities in China. He is currently in Xiangan University, Hunan Province.
